RPC's Contingency Plan for Water Shortage

BackJun 24, 2005

To President The Stock Exchange of Thailand In accordance with the news concerning droughts in Rayong and Chonburi Provinces that cause water shortage and may affect all manufacturers in this area. The Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) has officially announced that the water supply in Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate will be cut-down by 40% starting June 27, 2005 onwards. Rayong Purifier Public Company Limited (RPC) is pleased to inform that we will not be effected from this measure since our plant consumes only 100 cubic meters of raw water per day and our plant is designed to be Zero Discharged or Closed System, which means that we can efficiently recycle the water within our plant. However, in case the droughts and water shortage situation prolongs, our contingency plan is to procure and transport the additional required raw water from nearby resources as well as to maximize the water recycle in the system. Therefore, the Company will be able to perform to take all feedstock from the supplier as scheduled and there is no plan to cut-down our production. Please be so informed.
